Enhance and balance your drinking water with Zazen Mineral Stones — Perfect for the Berkey Lower Chamber or Phase 2 of Zazen’s three-stage technology.
 
Each 1 kg pack of naturally tumbled blue-grey stones slowly releases a blend of calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, silicon, and other trace elements.
 
These minerals help stabilise water pH, boost dissolved oxygen, and support optimal hydration.
 
Replace the stones every five years to maintain performance.
Mined from pristine deposits more than 300 m below the earth’s surface, the stones are sustainably sourced to ensure minimal environmental impact.
 
Preparation
Before installing in your Zazen Alkaline Water System, soak the Mineral Stones and Alkalinity Enhancers for 48 hours:
Place the stones in a large container with at least one litre of tap water.
Change the water four times during the soaking period, using a sieve to keep the Alkalinity Enhancers from escaping.
As the stones are natural, they release fine mineral dust at first, which may make the water taste chalky — this is normal.
 
Rainwater users: For soaking, use boiled and cooled rainwater or chlorinated tap water. This helps prevent algae or micro-organisms from compromising the filters.
