Filter replacement and care
The two cartridges have different capacities and may require replacement at different times. Use your household’s filtered water consumption for drinking and cooking as a guide:
| Daily filtered water usage | Omnipure fluoride filter | CTO Max® ceramic filter |
|---|---|---|
| 5 litres per day | Approximately every 12 months | Every 6–12 months |
| 10 litres per day | Approximately every 6 months | Every 6–12 months |
These estimates are based on capacities of 1,800 litres for the fluoride filter and 5,000 litres for the ceramic filter. Follow the supplied instructions and replace each cartridge when its capacity or recommended time limit is reached, whichever comes first. Water quality and usage may require earlier replacement.
The ceramic outer surface can be gently cleaned under cold running water according to the supplied instructions to help restore flow. Cleaning does not renew the cartridge’s chemical filtration capacity.
